New Feature Alert: Google Meet Introduces Face Touchup Filters for Desktop Users
In a bid to enhance the virtual meeting experience, Google Meet has now introduced face touchup filters for desktop users. This feature, previously available on mobile apps, aims to provide users with the option to subtly enhance their appearance before joining online meetings.
Users can choose from two different filters - subtle and smoothing. The subtle filter offers light complexion improvement, under-eye lightening, and eye whitening, while the smoothing filter enhances all three effects for a polished look. These filters can be accessed through the 'Apply visual effects' setting in Google Meet by selecting 'Appearance'.
Initially, the touchup filters will be available exclusively for premium users, including those with subscriptions to Business Standard, Business Plus, Enterprise Essentials, Enterprise Starter, Enterprise Standard, Enterprise Plus, Education Plus, and Teaching & Learning Upgrade. This rollout will also encompass Google One and Google Workspace Individual subscribers.

Despite this latest addition, Google still trails behind competitors like Microsoft and Zoom, who introduced similar filters much earlier for their respective users.
